William's sad day!

William has a condition called Hydronyphrosus, which is when his kidney's don't drain right and he gets reflux back into the his kidneys. It's nothing to seriuos and he should outgrow it. Because of it he has to take an antibiotic everyday to keep from getting kidney infections, and go in for yearly tests to see what it is doing. So Josh, and I took him in to have this test done that he as had done before and so we knew what it was like. This is an awful procedure were they catheterize him, strap him to a board and then put an ivy in him that has a fluid, which I can't remember what it is called, that fills his kidneys and bladder and then we can see them on a screen. This whole thing last for about 2 hours and it's not fun. I of course forgot the camera, but I don't think I would have taken any pics anyway. They had everything done, but the ivy, and Will was already screaming, as you can imagine. The nurse came in to put the ivy in, and couldn't get it in. She poked him a couple of times and was fishing around for a vein, then another nurse came and did the same thing. Will was crying and by this time so was I! Then I told the nurses that Josh was an Anesthesiologist and they asked him to do it. He didn't really want to, but he did, and the first try he got it in. Good Job Dad, you saved the day as best as we could. So here is the pic of the spot that they finally got it in, and the pic is blurry! Also we found out that Will still has it, but it hasn't worsened, and we get to go back next year and do it again.
