Take me out to the ball game
We have had the chance to go to the Minor League baseball games out here over the summer. (Remember I' still posting summer even though it's Nov.) Anyway we had a lot of fun, but WoW it was HOT. It was 95 that day and it didn't cool off at all. We were there until 10:30 and it was the same temperature as when we got there that evening. That's the south for ya or for ya'll! Here are some cute pics of everyone trying to enjoy the game even though we were melting. It really was fun!

The Meeting about...
Silly bands! Have your kids gotten into these. Of course they have, who hasn't. I found the kids in Jonah's room this morning having a counsel that looked like this.
Where would you go for a weekend getaway?
We went to Atlanta GA to the world's largest aquarium!! I'm not kidding it really is. We had a lot of fun in the short few days that we were there. The kids always love getting to the hotel to go swimming. We went to the American girl doll store and the aquarium. We happened upon the Black Art's Festival in the Olympic Square, and a Children's Museum. It was fun and I would highly recommend it.
Josh enjoyed having the weekend off, and the kids enjoyed swimming!

and me enjoying a skirt at the festival. Josh is relieved that I didn't go out and start dancing to the music, which I really did want to do, but I thought I would save him the embarrassment.

American Girl Doll Heaven
OK so I think that Ella maybe died and went to heaven in this store. Well maybe I did a little bit too. I'm not afraid to admit it. I have loved these dolls since I was a kid! We have never been to an American girl doll store ever, and knew there was one in Atlanta. We went to check it out. We spent awhile in there looking at all of the displays, and watching a movie, reading books, looking at clothes, and shoes, and dolls. IT was fun! It was more fun to watch Ella.
Here's what the boys looked like shortly before leaving us and going to a game stop store. Notice the unintentional same look of bordome on there faces. This picture made me laugh so hard.
I asked Ella to pick out her favorite doll and display and she picked out Kit and Ruthie. Isn't that cute. We call Ella Ruthie all the time!
We did let her pick out one item to buy and it was a pair of blue glasses for the doll, becuse it was the cheaspest thing.
The petting zoo
This is the first thing we came upon in the Aquarium. There was a pool of those horseshoe sting ray things. We were allowed to touch them with two fingers. They felt soft and not slimy at all! I was surprised. I'm pretty sure Josh and I are the only one's that dared to touch them.
Here I am showing the kids how, as well as the lady in the background!
Here's Jonah being cute,
and here I am quite pleased with myself and having fun with my kids! I think I might have liked this more than they did.
Whale Shark Anyone?!?!
This is the World's LARGEST Aquarium. IT was amazing!! They had multiple tanks and rooms full of all kinds of fish and different regions of them. We saw Purana's!! They don't look very mean, but I hear they bite. Here is a snippet of those aquariums.

Anyway the best was this aquarium that housed 4 Whale sharks. What's that you ask? It's a whale with the body of a shark. My worst night mare!!! I hate sharks (no offense). They terrify me to death. So to see something that looked like shark that was as big as a whale was horrifying! But it was cool! I think the enormous hammer head shark that was in there scared me more. The was also the biggest sting ray I have ever seen in my life. IT was a huge place!!!

Here we are entering the HUGE aquarium.

Here's the 2 sharks that gave me the willies!!! Check out that hammerhead!!!

Here is the whale shark. It's enormous!

...and the biggest fish I have ever seen in my life. Notice Ella and Jonah's heads are the same size as one of his polka dots on his body!
By the way did I mention that you can go scuba diving in there!

Bike MAstER
SAFETY COMES FIRST!
This is what Jonah got for his birthday from some great family members. He loves his bike! HE wakes up and hops on it and doesn't get off till lunch, has a little rest and then is right back on it. He goes like crazy on it. I watch him, and it reminds me of being little on my bike going like crazy down the sidewalk (which they don't believe in here). Don't you remember the wind in your hair and the crisp fall air pinching at your nose. The knee scrapes and figuring out new tricks. I love it! I love watching my kids experience the same great things that I loved as a kid!

Freeeddooom!
I love this line from a movie that I have seen were the guy yells freedom, because that's all he wants and is dying for it at the moment that he yells it. I just love this country and that I get to enjoy so many freedoms!! I love that I can pray to who I want and when I want and that I can teach that to my kids. I love that I can say the things that I want and feel, and that I have that right as an American citizen. I am so very grateful for all of our soldiers and their families.
I have kind of made it a goal to stop men and women that are dressed in uniform and thank them for what they do! I know that my little thank you isn't enough, but I truly mean it!! I also love to stand with my hand over my heart and sing the National Anthem while watching the Flag being presented. It's beautiful! I love this Country!!!
So I always try to tell my kids what a privilege it is to live here in this country! They just kind of stare at me and then want to know what fun things we are going to be doing that day! I know that one day they will get it, and feel the same way I do!
So here are the pictures of the bike parade we did that morning. That night we had fun at The McDonald's home eating with friends and watching fire works. IT was a great day to remember who we are!!

Jonah's 4th birthday
I cannot believe it. I still don't think he's old enough to be 4. I know your thinking that 4 really isn't that old, but when your his mother still thinks your 2 then 4 is old.
He wanted a star wars water party. He had fun with some of his freinds playing in the water and just running around. It was great minus the poor friend who got stung by a wasp!

Jonah is a ball of energy, and he's silly and fun. He likes to climb, and punch, and karate chop everything. He's fast, especially when he puts on his shoes and runs through the kitchen. He's also great at giving hugs and loves to snuggle! he is truly a blessing and a joy in our home. You are so loved Jonah Boy!

Wicked...
It's not what you think! We had the fun experience of taking Ella to see Wicked this past summer. It's a Broadway play about the withces in the movie The Wizard of Oz.
First we took her to lunch at the Olive Garden. That was so much fun. It was fun to be with just her and watch her act so grown up. Actually I'm not sure she was acting. I think she is growing up. I love this time of her life. She is so much fun to be with and we loved taking her with us. We had a good time chatting with her and just talking to her.
Then off to the play. We all really liked it and the music is wonderful. There were parts of it that scared her and by the 3rd hour she was complaining that she was tired, but it was GREAT!

Cheeta
So one of the hard things about being married to a doctor is that you move and so do your friends, if they are married to doctor's as well. I have had to say good bye to some very loved friends who are more like sisters! Well so has Ella! This is Ella and her dear friend Lauren. They call each other Cheeta which I guess is friend in chipmunk. She misses her dearly as well as other friends she has had to say goodbye to! It's hard, but we have had the privelege of knowing great people because of it.

P O C A L A S anyone?
Translation - Popsicle.
It is pronounced paw-ca-las! He asks for them all day and at first I had no idea what he was saying until one day when he stood in front of the freezer and yelled this at me a couple of times. I finally figured it out and he was as happy as could be. He can have as many pocalas as he wants!

Diploma for preschool!
Jonah had his preschool graduation ceremony. It was so cute. I always manage to cry at these things. I get so teary with the fact that they are growing up. I am so proud of Jonah and who he is. He is such a fire ball of energy and happiness. Anyway, they made these cute hats from plastic plates, bowls and froot loops. They got a little certificate and had some cake. I home schooled him with some friends of mine. I really do enjoy doing this with my kids for the first couple of years before they are gone from me into real school. I am sending him to a real preschool next year. I know that I will cry the day I drop him off, but I will also get a lot more errands done ;)!
Jonah and his buddy Matthew enjoying the night, and taking in the fact that they are no longer 1st year preschoolers! YIPEE.

Ella and Piccasa
Ella, and a few other kids in her class where chosen to have a piece of their artwork hung in one of our visitors centers. She was so excited and so were we. She had described her art piece to me as a picture of her with freckles, big earrings, and a cowgirl belt.I thought how cute I can't wait to see it.
Well much to her dismay a different piece was chosen. I still thought her art project was great and told her that, but she was mad for the rest of the day about this, as you can see...

I told her that her caterpillar was the cutest one Ihad ever seen and that she did a great job. It didn't help.

Um.. What are you doing?
One morning while I was getting dressed and doing my hair, I realized that it was awfully quiet and that I hadn't heard the boys in quite sometime. I hurried out of the bathroom calling their names. As I got closer to the stairs I could hear a banging noise coming from the garage. I ran down the stairs and over to the garage door where I found this...

Jonah and a naked little boy named Will playing the drums on paint cans with screwdrivers. They were both so happy and thought that it was the coolest thing ever. I let them do this for awhile and then stuck a diaper back on William.

He is Risen, He is Risen....

Easter Morning is such a beautiful morning. I love how I feel and that I know that Christ lives and will come again! I love telling my kids about the Resurrection and that we will get to see loved ones that have passed on again, and that we will live again, because of Him! I am so grateful to my Savior, Jesus Christ for making this all possible because He loves us so much. I think that my kids kind of understand it, but I know that they like the Easter Bunny as well. Hear are some pics of them that morning. We actually celebrated it a couple of weeks later because I was at my Grandmother's funeral over that weekend. They all ate there candy within minutes and didn't want any breakfast.
